Learning Support Assistant Apprentice
This is an exciting opportunity to earn-while-you-learn in a government funded apprenticeship which is suitable for a school or college leaver or if you are ready to start your career within education. You will be joining on a fixed term contract to assist pupils in Early Years or the main school across a wide of range of supported learning activities.
During your apprenticeship you will work towards the Teaching assistant apprenticeship standard (level 3) which has highly transferable knowledge, skills and behaviours which can be applied across all sectors. Training will be determined by your existing qualifications.
Working days: 4 days on the job training and one day per week at college.
Working hours: 32 hours and 30 minutes per week / 6 hours 30 minutes per day Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.30pm (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day)
Working weeks: Term time only plus INSET days
Salary: £6.40 per hour and increasing to national minimum wage for age after first year.
Qualifications required: Maths and English GCSE’s grade C/4 or above or an intention to complete an equivalent qualification within the apprenticeship.
