Faith at St Joseph’s is not simply something that just happens in an assembly or at Mass. It is part of the rhythm of every school day.
We begin and end our days with prayer, say grace before and after meals. Children may listen to Scripture and make time for reflection. Children are actively involved with prayer and worship, and in KS2, children write and lead a time for worship each week.
Every classroom has a prayer space which changes with the liturgical season, helping children to recognise that the life of the Church is woven into the life of our school.
Our Gospel assemblies are rooted in Scripture and Catholic Social Teaching, and our Headteacher’s weekly assembly connects directly with the Sunday Gospel. Through these opportunities, children are encouraged not simply to hear the Gospel, but to consider how it should shape the way we live.
